ECE ITS is migrating client Macs to a new Mobile Device Management (MDM) system, and there are a few steps required to ensure that your system is enrolled in the new MDM server.
ACTIONS REQUIRED:
- On your Mac, open System Preferences and navigate to Profiles. (If "Profiles" is not listed, skip to step 3)
- Inside "Profiles", remove any configuration profiles listed in the left pane by highlighting the profile and clicking the "-" at the bottom of the pane.
- Navigate to the following link and sign-in with your Andrew ID :: https://eceits.jamfcloud.com/enroll
- Click "Continue" to continue enrollment, which will prompt you to Save a file named "enrollmentProfile.mobileconfig"
- After saving, open the file named enrollmentProfile.mobileconfig
- If you are on MacOS 10.x, the Profiles screen will automatically appear, where you can install the profile by entering your password
- If you are on MacOS 11.x "Big Sur" or greater, you will need to open System Preferences -> Profiles and click the "Install" button to continue.
- Once the profile has been installed, your Mac has been enrolled. You may see some additional apps install or a pop-up asking you to re-enter your password for FileVault purposes.
