Exchange to Google - Email and Calendar Consolidation Project
Overview
As part of the CMU CIO Office key initiatives, the University is migrating email, calendar, and collaboration tools from Microsoft Exchange to Google Workspace for Education. Expected project completion is August of 2022.
This page can be referenced for links to key documentation and milestones for ECE ITS clients.
All users should rely on University documentation for the project. This page is only intended as a supplement for convenience. The Office of CIO has created a landing page for this purpose.

Owners of migrating accounts will be contacted directly by CMU Computing Services with important information about pre-migration tasks and deadlines. There will also be several opportunities to join open office hours hosted by the University. Invitations will be sent that include a sign-up link. Sign-up is required to attend.
Migrations for each department in the College of Engineering will be coordinated by designated people who will work with the CIO project team. Coordinators will act as a complement to the CIO project team.
Academic units may voluntarily join one of the early-adopter migration waves.
