Dell Laptop Will Not Power On : Remove Residual Power
Dell Laptop Will Not Power On : Remove Residual Power
As of March 2022, removable batteries are not common in recent Dell laptops.
Disconnect AC adapter, dock cable and any other external devices plugged into the laptop.
If the laptop includes a removable battery, remove it.
Hold down the power button for about 30 seconds and then release it.
If you have removed a battery, plug it back into the laptop.
Plug the laptop back into its power source (AC adapter or dock power cable) and try to turn it back on.
If this does not resolve the issue on the first try, try a second time. If it fails after the second attempt, contact your service provider.
