If your printer isn't in the list, select The Printer I want isn't listed

Select the Add a printer using a TCP/IP address or hostname and click the Next button. 

Set the Device type to TCP/IP Device .

Enter the fully qualified domain name for the printer, for example , exampleprinter.andrew.local.cmu.edu  and click the Next button.

Select the printer driver which is most appropriate. In some cases, Windows will detect and select a printer driver for you.  Systems configured by ECE ITS may have HP Universal print drivers installed which is appropriate for most HP Pagewide, Officejet and Laserjet models.

Additional device drivers are available here . 

(Optional)  If asked to replace the existing driver or use one that is already installed. Select Use the driver that is currently installed (recommended) and click Next.

Set the Printer name to the fully qualified domain name above, for example, exampleprinter.andrew.cmu.edu and click the Next button. 

Select Do not share this printer and click Next

(Optional) Click Print a test page

Click Finish
